I traveled to Masindi with mixed feelings, wondering if a short, one-month stay would truly make a difference. Now, I have no doubt—it was a wonderful decision.
What I experienced, saw, understood, learned, and the number of people I came to love—it’s incredible that all of it fit into just one ordinary month, a month that could have been like any other.
And yet, thanks to the incredible Aunties, Maria, Martha, my fellow volunteers, and the most wonderful children for whom all these miracles happen, it became unforgettable.
